Community College Teacher Education Programs: A National Profile
The important function of community colleges in teacher education is one that will continue to evolve with the changing needs of communities and states.
The National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs (NACCTEP) promotes the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse early childhood and K-12 teachers, and advances quality teacher education programs in the community college. NACCTEP strives to provide resources for community college administrators and teacher education program administrators, faculty, and staff as they develop new programs and enhance existing programs and services. One way NACCTEP accomplishes this is by facilitating data collection through the NACCTEP Profile Survey.
